Three athletes from Jalisco brought home medals from the London 2012 Paralympic Games, in which Mexico overcame its 20-medal haul of Beijing 2008, snapping up 21 medals, including six golds.
Competing in his fourth Paralympics, Guadalajara’s Arnulfo Castorena won a silver medal in the 50-meter breaststroke category, while fellow swimmer Pedro Rangel Haro took home bronze in the 100-meter event. Judoka Eduardo Avila Sanchez won a bronze.
