Ajijic resident Robert P. Morris died on December 29 at his home in Villa Nova after a long battle with leukemia. He was 75 years old.

Peter Morse Moir

Peter Morse Moir, one of Lakeside’s most colorful characters, died on January 8 at the age of 67.

Henry Freihofer

Henry Freihofer, a 59-year resident of Mexico, died December 29 at his home in Guadalajara, at the age of 86.

James B. Tarr

Ten-year Ajijic resident James B. Tarr died December 20 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 74.

Saying goodbye to dear friends

Every year we like to look back and remember those who gave their energy and time to society, adding a special  flavor to the community. Some were noisy and made themselves known to all and others just laid back and enjoyed living here.

Charlie Michael Fagan

Charlie Fagan died in Ajijic on December 7 at the age of 86.

Lakeside resident Tony Harries passed away December 12 at the age of 69 after a battle with cancer.

Arturo Smith

Mexico City-born Pastor Arturo Smith, leader of the Spanish-speaking congregation of Lakeside Presbyterian Church, died in a Guadalajara hospital on November 28 at the age of 58.

Douglas Owens

Douglas Owens, a longtime winter resident of Ajijic, died October 13 in Bellingham, Washington at the age of 68.
