Temperatures rising

The hottest time of year is almost upon us and the National Water Commission revealed on Monday that the temperature in Santa Rosa, Jalisco reached a scorching 43.5 degrees Celsius.

The town, located in the municipality of Amatitan, an area famed for its tequila production, was the hottest in the state. The highest temperature recorded in the Guadalajara metropolitan area was 34 degrees in Colonia La Experiencia, Zapopan.
