Senior citizen athletes compete in Canada

Competing in the North and Central American Championships in St. John, New Brunswick August 9 to 12 are 15 Jalisco athletes aged 60 to 82 years old under the DIF Jalisco banner.

Sports include: 100 meters flat track, 10,000 meters march, discus, hammer throw, javelin and pentathlon. 82-year old Ernestina Ramirez Garcia of Ayotlan, Jalisco, is the world champion of the 100 meter race.
