U.S. Consul General in Guadalajara Susan Abeyta has been busy this week, supporting a campaign to end violence against women and delivering wheelchairs to the city’s Hospital Civil.
The U.S. Consulate donated 3,000 dollars to the Jalisco Women’s Institute to cover costs for the printing of 100,000 pamphlets condemning violence against women. Abeyta was present as pamphlets were distributed in downtown Guadalajara last week, while others were taken to municipal women’s institutes across the state.
