Since its headquarters closed down a few years ago, American Legion Post Three members and friends have been meeting on Saturdays for breakfast, with about a dozen or so attending each week.

Last Saturday, Claudio Farias hosted the group at his home, offering a delicious buffet/grill, live music and a playground area for children.

Among the regulars was John Brennan, who was the guest of honor, four of his children, John Jr, Michelle, Kathleen, Cynthia, and seven of his grandchildren. Other regulars included Royce Wheeler and daughter Raquel, Frank Raimo and daughter Frances, Carlos Soto Turver, Julio Rivas, Charles Butler and wife Laura, Dean Burke, John Boyer, Roger Beaulieu and wife Esther.  In total, 40 people gathered at the special breakfast.

Anyone wishing to attend the regular breakfasts is welcome to join the group, which meets at the Estancia Hotel restaurant on Mariano Otero at Lapizlazuli,  across from the south end of Plaza del Sol.  All are welcome.
