Weeding out fugitives

In the aftermath of the recent capture of Kenneth James Stopkotte, a man on the run from U.S. authorities who had holed up in San Juan Cosala, Chapala’s immigration chief Juan Carlos Galvan is anxious to pull out the stops to weed out any other foreign fugitives who may choose lakeside as a hideout spot.
He speculates that some may look at the area’s large expat populace as excellent camouflage to avoid the arm of justice. But like Stopkotte, they could just as well be nabbed thanks to a tip-off from another foreigner.
