Women’s economic role grows stronger

According to a study by the National Autonomous University of Mexico, women’s contribution to family economies have increased from 17 to 39 percent over the past four decades.  

Today, women are the chief breadwinners in four out of ten Mexican households.  The study also showed that 92 percent of working women in Mexico also do household chores.
