Checking in for most flights at the Guadalajara Airport should be quicker thanks to newly installed x-ray machines that have replaced manual luggage checks.
Several airlines, however, are refusing to pay the fees for the new technology imposed by the airport’s operators and say they will continue the personal revisions for the time being.'
Manual checks of luggage prior to check-in began eight years ago and often contribute to long lines at the Guadalajara Airport, especially as flights near their departure times.
