Trio lead Ochoa golf tournamanet at half-way mark

Anna Nordqvist, So Yeon Ryu, and Pornanong Phatlum share the lead at 9-under-par after two rounds of play at the sixth Lorena Ochoa Invitational at the Guadalajara Country Club.

The trio will take a 1-stroke lead over Lexi Thompson, Gerina Piller, and Rolex Rankings No. 1 Inbee Park into tomorrow’s third-round.

In search of her first official LPGA Tour victory, Phatlum on Thursday carded seven birdies and one bogey to take a one-stroke lead.

Phatlum followed-up her 66 with a 3-under 69 on Friday that included four birdies and one bogey.

Most of the five former LOI champions have struggled over the first two days, with the exception of South Korea's I.K. Kim, who lies two off the pace at seven under.

2009 champion Michelle Wie is two under  and in 20th place, while last year's winner Cristie Kerr is even par in 27th spot.

Former winners Catriona Matthew and Angela Standford are in 28th and 32nd place, respectively, in the 36-player field.

Play continues Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The players tee off at 10:20 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 8:20 a.m. on Sunday.  The presentation to the winner takes place around 3:3 p.m. on Sunday.

Tickets cost 200 pesos on Friday, 350 pesos on Saturday and 450 pesos on Sunday.  The entrance to the Guadalajara Country Club is Mar Caribe 260, Colonia Country Club, one block from Avenida Avila Camacho.
