Kids complete giant painting

Working from a design by artist Claudio Limon, 70 children from seven local orphanages and shelters created this giant painting symbolizing the rights of children in the central patio of the Jalisco Government Palace last weekend.

The exercise was organized by the state Family Development Agency (DIF) and was part of the week-long project “Expresó mis Ideas,” designed to provide young people with more opportunities to express their artistic talents. The piece, measuring 11 by 11 meters and titled “La Gran Pintura,” will be sold off in sections to raise funds to develop cultural projects for disadvantaged children.
