Rain Dance moves feet, minds and hearts

Libby Townsend’s second annual Tarahumara Rain Dance drew a crowd of 40 lakesiders intent upon conjuring up the good graces of Mother Nature and lending support to the Complejo Asistencial Clinica Santa Teresita located in Creel, Chihuahua.

Grassroots group gives school supplies to Ajijic kids

A throng of Ajijic youngsters and their parents patiently lined up for a long wait at the foot of the Ajijic plaza bandstand last Sunday as a village couple and a band of helpers doled out close to 400 packets of free school supplies.

Inscriptions are now open for Chupinaya 2013, Ajijic’s 17th annual mountain running challenge. The doubled-pronged race will take place Sunday, August 11, taking off from the central plaza at 10 a.m., rain or shine.
