Local artist Susana Hubert opened a new solo exhibition Wednesday at the Galeria de Juristas in the Jalisco Congress building, located on the Plaza Liberacion, to one side of the Degollado Theater in downtown Guadalajara.
The exhibition, entitled “Un Momento de Gente,” features 15 paintings which the artist says are “mostly of people seen around Guadalajara.” Hubert’s art has been shown at local exhibitions since 1998, with her latest generating a great deal of interest, for which she says she is “very excited.”
A former staffer at the Guadalajara Reporter, Hubert studied painting at the Instituto Cultural Cabañas.
The exhibition is open free of charge to the public until March 22, from Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All the artworks are available for purchase.
