Guadalajara’s Transport Secretary has accredited 3,381 official taxis to operate around the hotels and venues of the Pan American Games. They will be known as "Taxis Seguros" (Secure Taxis).

The drivers will be capable of attending the needs of visitors and should know some basic English phrases.

Of the total number of taxis, 3,067 will operate in Guadalajara, while the remaining 314 will be stationed in Puerto Vallarta, Ciudad Guzman, Lagos de Moreno and Tapalpa.

Ask your driver to show you his official Pan American taxi certificate as these are the only taxis allowed beyond the road blocks at the sports stadiums and other venues.
