I would like to clear up a misconception

Dear Sir,

I would like to clear up a misconception that may have been created by something stated in last week’s article about Love in Action (LiA).

Not all of us who recently resigned as members of the Advisory Council (formerly the Board of Directors) have “separated” from Love in Action. I, for one, could not allow this unfortunate conflict between adults over religious beliefs and teachings, to drive me away from the children at LiA who have so many needs. As long as those now running the shelter permit me to come in once a week to help with Club de Niños, I shall be there to do fun, skill building activities with the littlest children.

I truly hope that people who have volunteered, been godparents, given food and financial donations will think of the children before abandoning them and their home, Love in Action.

Barbara Hildt, Ajijic

Glad to see at least one of the parties to this tempest in a tea pot remembers that it is the kids who matter here.

You are to be commended!
