I am writing to commend Lucille van Straaten for her highly successful Sterilization Campaign held in Chapala for three days last recently, under the auspices of The Ranch.
With the help of a cadre of gringo and Mexican volunteers, as well as volunteer vets from Lakeside and Mexico City, Lucille was able to spay/neuter 145 animals at no cost to the animals’ owners.
This is a marvelous accomplishment due to extremely hard work by many good hearted people over countless hours. Just think of all the unwanted animals who will not be wandering the streets of Lakeside, starving and suffering. Lucille and her helpers are indeed animal angels.
