In order to officially certify their products as “Made in Jalisco,” local manufacturers must now pay 2,705 pesos per year.
In return, they will receive promotion from the Department of Economic Promotion (Seproe) and the Council of Industrial Chambers of Commerce (CCIJ) who are behind the revamped “Hecho en Jalisco” project. So far, 50 businesses have signed up and another 500 are said to be interested.
