New flights land in Puerto Vallarta

Dutch airline Arkefly is offering weekly direct flights between Amsterdam, Holland and Puerto Vallarta every Monday, the result of efforts by the Jalisco and Nayarit tourism officials to attract more Dutch visitors.

Arkefly’s website quotes prices from 579 to 844 euros for the round-trip flight, depending on the class of travel.  From December 2, Virgin America will fly twice weekly from San Francisco to Vallarta on Mondays and Thursdays. Puerto Vallarta will be Virgin America’s third destination in Mexico.
