Novice and expert ice skaters were out in force this week at the free rink installed in Guadalajara’s Plaza de la Liberacion.
There are 600 pairs of ice skates available, with users changing every half hour. Children must be accompanied by adults. Authorities predict up to 250,000 people will take to the ice in Guadalajara this winter, with the rink open every day from 8.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. until January 29. Ice rinks are also open in downtown Zapopan’s Plaza de las Americas and Tlaquepaque’s Jardin Hidalgo.
