The State Transport Department (SVT) has installed three solar-powered digital screens in Guadalajara to provide up-to-the-minute traffic news.
Installed at a cost of three million pesos, the screens will inform motorists of delays caused by protests, flooding or traffic accidents – advising them to take alternate routes when necessary. The screens are located at Lazaro Cardenas and Tonantzin (photo right); Alcalde and Gabriela Mistral; and Lopez Mateos Sur a few meters from the Solectron bridge.
