Guadalajara has lost several thousand potential jobs after Delta Airlines and Aeromexico announced a plan to build a jointly operated maintenance, repair and overhaul center at the Intercontinental Airport in Queretaro, next to that state’s Aerospace Park.
The new facility’s capacity will allow for up to seven aircraft to be serviced simultaneously and mean that Aeromexico will close its maintenance base in Guadalajara.
