Guadalajara is the most prosperous city in Latin America and the 26th best off in the world, according to a United Nations (UN) study released this week.

The Austrian capital of Vienna was ranked number one in the world prosperity index, part of the UN’s “Report of the state of the world’s cities.”

To make Guadalajara an even more prosperous city, authorities must improve public transport and take more decisions for the collective good of the population, said Eduardo Lopez Moreno, head of urbanism at the UN.
