Just a week after the Aurora, Colorado massacre, some 800 moviegoers were evacuated from a screening of new Batman movie “Dark Knight Rises” at a Guadalajara cinema last Friday.
Alarms rang out when a fire broke out around 1.30 a.m. at Cinepolis in the Grand Plaza shopping mall, disrupting three midnight screenings of the highly anticipated Batman film, which premiered that night in Mexico. The fire began in a trash can, but caused no injuries or material damage, Cinepolis reported.
