A municipal police officer was injured Monday night when a grenade was tossed at a patrol car parked outside the home of acting Guadalajara Mayor Francisco Ayon.
According to the police report, the aggressor was a man wearing an orange shirt who probably escaped on a motorcycle.
Jalisco Attorney General Tomas Coronado said the motive of the attack was unclear.
