Inventive dance

Four performances by the talented Diavolo Dance Theater from California.

The Centro Regional de Estudios Musicales (CREM) is always humming – both literally and figuratively – but this month is even more hectic than usual.

The extraordinary performance company Sonidos y Movimientos de Mexico will perform Thursday, June 19 to mark the inauguration of the new outdoor public events forum located on the eastern leg of the Chapala Malecón. The free event will start at 6:30 p.m.

On Sunday, June 29, an enthusiastic audience heard an exceptional recital given by gifted young pianist Sergio Parra, who last year received a scholarship from both Viva la Música and the Northern Lights Festival.

Guadalajara artist Armando Melendez will be the guest speaker at the Monday, June 2, 10 a.m.  meeting of the Ajijic Society of the Arts (ASA).
