Grupo Pro-Ajijic 2012, sponsoring organization of the first annual village Day of the Dead parade and fiesta, is seeking active community participation and some economic support to help defray expenses for decorating floats, the village plaza and altars honoring the dearly departed.
Patrons who donate 1,000 pesos are offered public recognition, prominent places in the parade and a pair of tickets to attend a post-party parrillada cookout to be held on a later date. Contributors giving 500 pesos will get a spot in the parade plus recognition. Associates chipping in 250 pesos will receive a public thank-you.
