Chapala’s Municipal Sports Commission (Comude) is promoting the practice of beach volleyball with a local tournament scheduled for Sunday, August 19, 10 a.m., at the west end of the city’s waterfront.
The competition is open for mixed gender teams composed of two men and two women. Last minute enrollment will be open on site from 9:30 a.m. with payment of a 250 peso sign-up fee. Spectators can enjoy watching the contest free of charge.
The winning team will earn three days of free lodging at a condominium in the Manzanillo, Colima beach resort. Second and third place teams will take home cash prizes and new volleyballs, with teams coming fourth and fifth each gaining a pair of the sporting spheres.
