It’s a first, most long-time Democrats are saying.
All three delegates elected to September’s National Democratic Convention from the Americas Region (Canada, Mexico, Central and South America) are expatriates living in Mexico.
In years past, the Canadian organization of Democrats Abroad has dominated the Americas Region race for delegates.
The three delegates were elected at the Democrats Abroad International Convention, held last weekend in Puerto Vallarta.
They are: Tim Whiting (chairperson of the Chapala chapter of Democrats Abroad), Dee Dee Camhi (chairperson of Mexico Democrats Abroad) and Sandra Loridans (past chairperson of Chapala Democrats Abroad and twice national chairperson of Mexico).
