Amsoc helps children’s center

Children cared for at the Salvation Army Hogar in Tlaquepaque entertained American Society (Amsoc) members last Saturday with a selection of Christmas carols performed in Spanish.

Dressed in festive red uniforms, the kids showed off their dance moves as they sang a selection of Christmas tunes, including “Navidad Rock,” “Mi Querido Santas Claus” and, of course, a rousing rendition of “Feliz Navidad.” To watch footage of the performance, check out the video page of the Reporter’s website. Amsoc then presented the Ejercito de Salvacion, which cares for 67 children, with a generous donation of over 9,000 pesos.

The American Society will be open on Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. and on Christmas Day from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., with guests invited to join in the “pot luck” lunch. (See ad page 2.)
