Rain, rain

We all wish for an abundant rainy season (at least those with any sense at all do).

We are thrilled when the hills turn green, roses grow many inches in 24 hours, we don’t have to keep changing the water in the fish pond or irrigate those hanging plants each day. Grass grows up where there hasn’t been any for months and volunteer tomato plants burst forth, having lain dormant in the dust since their seeds were dropped by birds long migrated to someplace else. The palm fronds hold water until they tip from the weight and create their own waterfalls. It’s magical. It’s romantic. It’s poetic. I just wish to hell that someone would come up with paper that didn’t absorb all this magical moisture and screw up my printer!
