The 14th Onesimo Gonzalez Contemporary Dance Festival begins October 6, with performances scheduled evening through October 15  (excluding Oct. 14, shows start at 8 p,m.)  at the Teatro Degollado.  

The annual Fiestas de Octubre provides a great backdrop for a slew of cultural events, many of them held for free in the Plaza Fundadores behind the Teatro Degollado.

The 46th Expo Ganadera Jalisco, considered to be one of Mexico’s best livestock fairs, will open Wednesday, October 10 for a 25-day run that should rope in thousands of visitors keen on having a look at top-breed farm animals as well as enjoying a jam-packed schedule of special events.

The friendship and work of Tamara Lempicka and Victor Manuel Contrerasis the focus of the “Un encuentro de dos culturas” show at the Instituto Cultural Cabañas.
