The street rehabilitation project in downtown Ajijic resumed Wednesday, December 10 with the work crew getting down to business on the segment of Calle Colón located between the highway and Zaragoza.
Once new water and sewage lines are laid down on that block, laborers will move on the next stretch between Zaragoza and the south end of the plaza. The roadway will be resurfaced with cobblestones set in concrete with designs similar to those recently finished on Calles Parroquia and Marcos Castellanos.
A banner posted at the site maps out alternate routes to the center of town via Guadalupe Victoria and Aquiles Serdán while traffic is being detoured off the main street during the remainder of this month and early January.
