We’re on right track, governor assures city’s consular reps

Jalisco Governor Aristoteles Sandoval dined with many of Guadalajara’s consular representatives last week, underlining his commitment to “generate certainty” for foreign investors concerned by pubic security, transportation, corruption and regulatory issues.

Sandoval said his government was determined to make life simpler for foreigner to invest here, highlighting a pilot program that by next year will allow them to complete 60 percent of their documentation online.  He also singled out his administration’s efforts to make Jalisco’s streets safer and legal system more transparent, highlighting the launch of the state’s first-response security force, la Fuerza Unica, and the advances made in implementing oral trials, known as the Nuevo Sistema Acusatorio Penal.
