Chapala’s Municipal Clinic welcomed an arsenal of diagnostic equipment this week that will greatly enhance the staff’s abilities to prevent and treat common ailments, while reducing normal patient costs by at least 50 percent.
The new gear includes the mammogram and bone scan devices exhibited here by the clinic’s Board of Governors president Sheila Paull, as well as x-ray and ultrasound machines and a fully equipped mobile laboratory.
The package was supplied through a cooperative agreement between the municipal government and the private outfit InteLab.
