Tom Thompson, head honcho for development of the International Garden located at the west end of the Ajijic Malecón, is seeking an expert in landscape architecture to draw up a definitive layout plan for monuments, trees and plantings to embellish and shade the area.
Installation of a Chac Mool statue in memory of the late Tom Falloon is now in the works. He is especially keen to have something on paper to guide local authorities in protecting existing trees that have been subject to repeated acts of vandalism, such as the one depicted in the photograph that has sprouted new leaves after being butchered several months ago.
