Folk dance show to benefit equine therapy program

Two top-notch Mexican folk dance troupes are scheduled to appear Wednesday, July 29, 6:30 p.m., at the Auditorio de la Ribera.

The show features back-to-back performances by the Ballet Folclórico Ozomatli from Reynosa, Tamaulipas and Guadalajara’s Ballet Tierra y Libertad.

The cost of admission is 100 pesos per person for seating in the auditorium’s center section and 80 pesos for side seats. Advance tickets are on sale at Yoly’s Unisex Salon, Plaza Bugambilias; Diane Pearl Colecciones, Ocampo at Colón; Mel’s Restaurant, Zaragoza at Aquiles Serdán,  Marlowe’s Marvelous Market, Encarnación Rosas 1; SuperLake in San Antonio; and the auditorium front desk box office.

All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of seven horses stabled at the Pepe Martínez Equine Therapy Center where 48 local children undergo treatment for varied physical and mental afflictions.
