Cleaning up

A program recently sputtering to a start up in a nearby village went looking for folks interested in picking up trash thrown hither and yon.

The stuff was getting pretty deep, so the interested parties considered going to the schools to see if they could get some of the kids to help. They were told in no uncertain terms that “the children in this village do not humiliate themselves by picking up trash!”

That’s obvious! Maybe if they participated in cleaning it up, they wouldn’t throw it all over, either! Since when is it humiliating to clean up after yourself?
